Your vehicle's computer calculates speed based on the diameter of the stock tires. If youve installed taller or shorter tires, or changed the rear gear ratio, the computer doesnt know how fast your vehicle is going. As a result, your automatic transmission wont shift correctly and the speedometer readings wont be accurate (as required by law). Hypertech's Speedometer Calibrator allows you to re-program the computer for correct speedometer and odometer readings for tires up to 54 inches. It also corrects part-throttle shifting and serves as an OBD-II code reader, so you can quickly diagnose "check engine" warnings.
